presentation?
Property
presentation is a marketing technique used to get your property ready to
sell or rent faster and at the best price. You wouldn’t sell a car
without giving it a good wash, service and a full tank of petrol so
apply the same techniques to selling your home!
Extremely
popular in the USA property presentation (also known as home staging or
house doctoring) is gaining popularity in the UK. Showhomes in the UK
have been staged for years and other examples of property presentation
techniques can be found on TV programmes such as the House Doctor and
Selling Houses in which a home stylist visits the property and gives
verbal advice with regard to selling or renting the property quickly and
for a good price. The property owner (or the stylist) then transforms
the property into a more saleable one which prospective buyers will
aspire to live in.
This
verbal advice is called a consultation in which the home stylist has a
site visit (looking at first impressions outside, a room by room
analysis, plus looking at your garage and garden). She then gives
recommendations regarding first impressions (also known as kerb appeal),
colours schemes, furniture placement, soft furnishing and accessories
plus advice how to declutter in order to gain more space in the
property. She also uses her personal knowledge about the housing
market, marketing techniques and design trends.
It is not
interior design but an inexpensive way of presenting your property
(usually with a lot of the things you already own) in order to sell
quickly and for a good price.
You may
have your property on at the right price but perhaps are not getting any
buyers - by presenting your property correctly you can attract a wider
target audience and therefore a faster sale. With so many houses on the
market now you can get yours to stand out from the rest.

property now forms the principle part of most people’s wealth
